Comfort Monochrome Flats 1

It’s no secret that I do love my heels. In fact, I wear heels so often that it’s quite easy for one to assume that I have no issues being on my feet all day everyday on 4 inch plus shoes. Even up until recently I would wear lots of block-heeled sandals or wedges on a normal errands filled day. Tricky thing with such behaviour is you might find yourself compromising on comfort. Which to me is a big deal, my personal style being based on finding the workable balance between the two. Comfort and elegance may not seem like a rational concept but it is totally possible. So I had to walk the talk( haha get it?) and find flat shoes I’d call “elegant”.

I really didn’t have any cute flat shoes that I could actually wear and confidently step out in until lately, mainly because I had no clue where to find such, especially because I’m more of an online shopping person. By and by I had to accept that as with everything else, shopping requires some effort. And when I did put the effort, it paid off. Currently Jumia has been like a godsend site for me. I feel like I have found literally anything there, including a number of cute low-heeled or flat shoes that I can actually incorporate in my everyday style. Like these monochrome flats. I can’t get enough of how these shoes go with so much in my closet, and how effortlessly chic they are. And pretty affordable too.

This monochrome laid back outfit is perfect for those busy days that you’ve got some running around to do but you still want to feel dressed up and sexy. Because flats need not be drab. If you can get comfort and elegance at the same time then yes please. Pairing the shoes with a short a-line skirt and a black blouse made it the perfect outfit for a day where I needed both comfort and a bit of pick-me-up (having been under the weather lately). And as usual a pop of color is never a bad idea so the bag helped out with that. If you would like to see more monochrome (with a pop of color) outfit ideas check out this post and this one too!

Thanks for reading and stay elegant!

Xoxo, Dottie
