Little white dresses are a lot of fun. Little white dresses with some added character especially are irresistible for me. And since versatility is key in my book of style, I love this particular LWD even more because of how easily you can dress is up or down, depending on the occasion. It can be as easily casual as formal, just throw on a blazer and pumps and voila you’ve switched up the game.
Lately I’ve been super obsessed with crochet. So when I stumbled upon this dress which was in fact two sizes bigger, I knew I had to have it. The fact that it was at a thrift shop and I was definitely a steal meant I was even more enthusiastic about it. A few alterations later, with lots of instructions for my tailor, I had the dress I had envisioned when I first set eyes on it.
You see you don’t always have to spend a fortune, or get the perfect size of an attire. As long as you have some vision, you can always make the most unexpected of clothing look amazing. And for those who always ask what my secret is to wearing clothes well, I always pay attention to just two things, fit and fabric. Especially when buying thrift clothes, you have to pay attention to the fabric, and ensure that the item can be easily altered to fit you perfectly. Once you master those two techniques, you will be discovering a lot of beautiful clothes hidden in the most unlikely of places.
Hope your week is going great! Thanks for stopping by and stay elegant.
