Hello everyone, hope you’re having a wonderful Jamhuri Day (for the Kenyan readers) and got round to a bit of fun. So date night is still a thing around here and we are enjoying every moment of it before I’m too big to move around as freely lol! Actually, for the first time, when trying to put this date night outfit together, I realized I have grown bigger in quite a short while. I hadn’t noticed that my usual clothes even when they stretch may not work this time for a night out. But what to do, you get on with finding something that works, right? Nowadays I find dresses to be most comfortable when I’m going to sit somewhere and eat. Yeah, pants aren’t just heartburn friendly.
Now, dressing up, in general, can be a chore when pregnant. As the days go by and you get bigger, you realize clothes don’t look the same on you anymore even when they fit! But at the end of the day, you gotta embrace your new body with its daily changes and work around with what is comfortable and does make you look like you’ve lost all hope in life haha. After all, this is the time to be in high spirits as you anticipate the arrival of a precious addition to your life and family. So look the celebratory part; well when you can anyway! That’s what I’m currently trying to do as we progress on this journey. At the end of the day, you realize that this phase is going way too fast and is just about to be over. I might sound crazy to say this but I will for sure miss it! So I’m savoring every moment while I still can.
For our recent date night, I had to find something that’s fancy and cute, (because I still love fancy and cute), and that accentuates the bump because why hide it? This pretty lace number happened to be a perfect choice. I was pretty excited to wear it actually because I haven’t worn a proper LBD in a while now. The cute design combined with lace speak loudly of romance so what better dress to wear for a date night? I paired it with these block heel sandals that brought out a bit of pop with their floral detail. They also happen to be super comfortable to wear for several hours, which is every pregnant woman’s dream. This vintage mini-bag was an obvious addition that brought the whole ensemble to life. Et voila, my date night pregnancy outfit was good to go, and paid homage to the holiday season as well!
Hope you’re enjoying the holidays! Thanks for stopping by and stay elegant.
