I had a fun day recently picking and styling these looks from my all-time favorite store, FigureStyle Boutique Kilimani. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while then you must have come across this store name, because I do love sampling their stock. If you saw my Instagram stories last week you may have come across some of these pieces. Because we all love to be fashionable, I figured I’d use this new stock to give you guys a few pointers on how to assemble a fashionable wardrobe not only for this year but one that will serve you for more years to come. If you purport to be a social butterfly like me (ahem, I’m not, my friends force me), then you must get a lot of invitations to attend all these events and functions that are always coming up. Think weddings, baby showers, a girls’ afternoon tea, etc, then tell me you can’t see yourself in this beautiful dress in one of those events. And on weekdays, throw on a blazer and voila, just like that you’re office ready.

The power dress

Sometimes you need to walk into a room and command attention. You need them to listen and to believe what you have to say. You need them to hang on your every word. This dress is definitely giving me that boss lady vibe and I know you feel it too. Yep, this is the dress that will get you that deal, lady. And doesn’t this little bag just go perfectly with it?

These are definitely a fashionista’s dream! I mean look at all this glam. Cape blazers are back, bigger and better. Fancier too. You could buy all the colors. No one will blame you. Styled with either pants or a little dress, this is definitely a piece that will earn its keep in your closet.
